What the library offers

What the Castleton University Library offers to the community

The Castleton University Library offers guest borrower cards to residents of Rutland County. You can check out up to 8 books at a time. You can learn more about our guest borrower policies here: http://www.castleton.edu/library/about-the-library/library-access-browsing/ and you can see what books we have by browsing or searching our online catalog here: https://librarycatalog.castleton.edu/

The library is open to the public, and all of our research databases are available to use here in the building. We also have helpful librarians, available Monday-Friday 9-5. We have lots of current magazines to read here too.

During the semester we are open weekends, including Sunday, and until 11:30 pm, Sunday-Thursday. If you want to come in when it is quieter, our breaks are a good time to visit, but with less extensive hours. You can see all our hours here: http://www.castleton.edu/library/contact-us/hours/

For contact information and a list of our research databases, see our website: http://www.castleton.edu/library/

There is no charge to use any of these resources, but donations are always welcome.
